Selective androgen receptor modulators or SARMs are a novel class of androgen receptor ligands. (The name follows the terminology currently used for similar molecules targeting the estrogen receptor, “selective estrogen receptor modulators,” such as tamoxifen.)
They are intended to have the same kind of effects as androgenic drugs but be much more selective in their action, allowing them to be used for more uses than the relatively limited legitimate uses of anabolic steroids.

Sarms have caught the wrap of the name legal steroids but are not some new legal steroids. SARMs are therapeutic compounds that have properties that are similar to anabolic agents—such as steroids. But SARMs also have reduced androgenic properties. For athletes, SARMs can boost their raw potential.
It’s easy to see where the comparisons are drawn from. SARMs do work in a similar way as steroids.
Both SARMs and steroids help increase the strength and endurance. They also help reduce muscle loss after workouts while also increasing the recovery time. This means subjects can just shake off muscle and joint pains. Sarms are for research only and should be advised to do your own research and know when to draw the line.
FDA has issued a warning about the dangers of products containing SARMs that are being marketed as dietary supplements. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has prohibited SARMs, these ingredients can cause professional and collegiate athletes to lose their eligibility ,but on a 5 and 7 panel test I passed. A new study in the Journal of the American Medical Association has identified the prevalence of SARMs in the online marketplace. They’re often marketed as dietary supplements—but don’t be fooled. They’re not legitimate dietary supplements, they’re unapproved drugs for research purposes only.
